<lj:music>The sound of sound.</lj:music>

Well, Hurricane Frances came and went. Sure, it was fun...but not fun enough. It wound up downgrading to a category 2 Hurricane right before it made landfall which only gave us a measely 100-105 mph. (At the most) On Saturday it was mostly 80-90 mph.

We lost a tree and part of our screening. Other places in Boca were damaged much more and lost a lot of trees and traffic lights and power lines. In fact, 4 million Palm Beach residence lost power and still don't have it. We were gladly spared. They installed these new power lines around us not too long ago which no one liked and even went to court about it. However, it was those reinforced power lines that prevented a small portion of West Palm Beach'ers from losing power...so I'm happy about that.

I would of prefer if it was a category 4 (or at least 3) when it made land fall and we wound up losing every tree and there was much destruction and such...that would be fun.
We also don't have school tomorrow since so many places lost power and I guess they have to repair that. They actually said there may not be school more this week.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Ivan (category 4) is coming to us...If that is going to hit us, it will be during the weekend. Two Hurricanes in a row would be really bad...I can't wait =)

I didn't really do much over this vacation expect play World of Warcraft. It's a really great online game but it was only a beta test for a week so I won't be able to play anymore...
I wonder what we're going to do in school this week...if we even have school ^^ And yes, I know we're going to have to make these days up at the end of the year and have a shorter summer...but I think it's too long anyway.

Meh...

Statement of Thought
"Where Passion is not found, no Virtue ever dwelt."
-Maria Brooks

Well, this hurricane is very exciting to me...and if it directly hits us, I'll be scared for other people....

I really hope none of my friends are injured. Really, the only worry and fear I have about the hurricane is for other people. However, think about it this way...

Say it does directly hit Palm Beach...that would be pretty bad...but think about all the other people on the coast of Florida who would be somewhat joyous it didn't hit them! With Hurricane Charley, many people were happy it didn't hit them all the while people were dying in Punta Gorda...However, I strongly care about my friends' lives much much more than strangers.

I may not be able to update my journal or read responses for a few days if the power goes out.

School was cancelled for Thursday and Friday so I have a 5 day weekend. Palm Beach is actually the only place that has a Mandatory evacuation...the other counties have a coluntary evacuation. We're not evacuating because my father claims our house can withstand it...and I'm sure it could. The worst that could happen is that the roof can fly off. Of course, if a torando hits...death and destruction!

Anyway, I got a virus last night and haven't been feeling good all day. The doctor suggested I stay home tomorrow for the half-day, but it was cancelled anyway...I wonder if that's a sign.

Oh, Jen, I'll make sure to keep your DVD's safe in case my house gets destroyed ^^

What else....what else could I talk about...tomorrow I'm going to record everything in my house and outside around the block...then after the hurricane (if it hits us), I'll record again to have a fun little compare/contrast.

Statement of Thought
"Too late for fruit, too soon for flowers."
~~ Walter De La Mare

Statement of Thought #2
"All fled--all done, so lift me on the pyre;
The feast is over, and the lamps expire."
~~ Robert E. <lj:music>Mad World - Gary Jules (Donnie Darko Soundtrack)</lj:music>

Well, smack my Uvula and call me Cornelia...it's Monday!

*sigh* Another average day in an average week...or is it? Yes! That's right! A half day in school on Wednesday...and not just any half day...a second-part-of-the-day half day! School starts at 10:30 and we get out at the normal time...basically, they let us sleep in. It's really being used to test if highschool students perform better in class having extra hours of sleep, or something. Next year (or possibly next semester) they'll be changing the time school starts. Instead of 7:30, it'll be 8:30 or 9:00 or something...too bad I probably won't be able to experience it.

Anyway, hurricane Francene is pretty strong. It's a high level 3 hurricane and will probably stregnthen to at least category 4. It's still pretty far away, but they're expecting it to travel 1 of 2 paths. Either straight towards South Florida...or straight towards North Florida....I'm hoping the latter...(that means the first one I mentioned, right?)

You may be asking yourself: "Well, gosh darn diddily dang! Why, Brandon, would you want a hurricane to hit you?" I'll tell you why. You see, I won't, so badly, for my life to change...even if it's negatively. Sure, a category 4 (or higher) hurricane will be very dangerous and could destroy part of our house...they'll probably have us evacuate if it's expected to hit us....I would find that so fun! It would be mass chaos and confusion...Plus, with school and everything...what will they do? We'd obviously not be able to go to school if we're running for our lives. What if the school gets heavily damaged? What then?!?! Wahhh!!

Sure, call me sadistic, call me weird, call me 'Lillie's Little Princess'...I don't care...I enjoy bad things.

They think it will make landfall on Thursday or Friday...I'm so excited. Where the hurricane hits is really based on one current. If the current is weak, the hurricane will hit North Florida. If the current is strong, the Hurricane will be pushed down to South Florida. I speculate that the current will be strong because that other current, which pushed Charley in Punta Gorda was unusually strong...but I'm not jinxing it!

Curses, I just went downstairs to get dinner and they said that it will most likely hit just north of lake Okeechobee...but they're not completely sure. It can hit anywhere between Cuba and the Carolinas....Wow, that's a lot of text about a hurricane...but it's one of the most exciting thigns in my life now.

Oh, and while we're on the topic of me taking Japanese lessons at FAU....I'm taking Japanese lerssons at FAU! I know how I mentioned that before, but now I'm officially registered and will continue taking it!

Oh, and Donnie Darko is my second favourite movie. (Fight Club is my first)

Statement of Thought

"Why are you always wearing that stupid bunny suit?"
--Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?--

    <lj:music>I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers</lj:music>

I attended the first class of Japanese yesterday! It was a blast and I've never said that about anything before! The people were so friendly and most of them (if not all) were taking the class for anime ^^ The teacher even knows and acknowledged that. It's a lot to learn but I know I can do it and it's soooo fun!

I also tried out for the improv club today. I so so so so hope I make it...if I don't...I'm gonna have to eat some babies. It was really fun. You know, if there happened to be anyone named Sami, it would have been much better...hypothetically, of course. I thought I was pretty good, but so was a lot of other people. I think if I don't make it in I'm going to have to go with the "Beg and Plead Technique" Both of the people choosing who gets in are in my Drama class and they've seen the other things I've done so hopefully just hopefully I'll make it in...i'm so incredibly nervous.

I'm also seeing the Psychiatrist tomorrow to deal with my sleeping problem. ALSO I'm having a metting with my guidance counselor regarding dual-enrollment and such...he better dang diddly doodly let me.

I've been listening to the song I'm gonna be (500 miles) on repeat for about an hour so far. It's probably because I saw the ending of Benny & Joon yesterday and it makes me like this song so much.
I'm so freakin' happy! My dad contacted the teacher of Japanese at FAU, Sumiko Uo, and talked to her about me being able to take the class. I don't have a high enough GPA to dual-enroll (and the course filled up really early) but she may let me take it anyway! She already said I could attend the class tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. and I'm soooo happy! I'm so happy, that I'm frivolous...and I'm so frivolous that I'm valuptuous. Uo-sensei (that's what she told me to call her...it makes me feel like I'm on the receiving end of some kind of S&M fetish thing) seemed please that I already know some Japanese and I've heard Japanese for over 2 years from anime...I can't wait! This is like, the first thing that happened in a long long time which I had doubts that it would happen and was saddened from those doubts...but now I'm happy! I really really wish it continues to work out. *squeals* ^^

I think that was the whole point of me typing this entry...oh, and I drew this interesting sword that like, drinks your blood when you use it.
Wow, I got so many replies...it makes me so happy that I want to eat my face.

I got a hair cut and I think it's good. I won't know for sure until other people see it. It's shorter in the back, about down to my shoulders, and the front is much shorter (which I didn't want). It goes a little past my eyes in the front, so what I do is have lotsa strands fall forward. I'd prefer it to be down to my mouth, so I'll just have to wait for it to grow. Also, I got my hair layered and it's SO much softer and lighter and nice.

I saw the movie American History X. It stars Edward Norton ^^ The movie is very good but very violent and controversial. The ending is probably one of the best movie endings I've ever seen. I also saw The Village for the second time. My parents wanted to see it so we went. My dad didn't like it, so he left in the middle and went into a different theatre. Now that I think about it, I don't know any guys who liked that movie...except for me of course. (If you can even call me a guy)

I can't wait to try out for the improv club!
I got back from Katelyn's two days ago ^^ It was a lot of fun. Aside from random stuff we did at the house and hanging out and such, we went to Plaster Planet. It's a place where you choose a plaster figurine and paint it. I chose this weird tic-tac-toe thing using Dragons and Knights...it's weird. Katelyn chose this dragon candle holder, and Ryu painted a Tiger.

We went to the movies twice and saw Anchorman and The Village. Both were wonderful moveis. Adriend Brody is in The Village, but sadly, he plays a mentally slow person =/
Well, it's not as un-dignifying as that commercial with the kid who wets his bed.

Anyway, I really miss Katelyn already and school is starting soon so, blech...

I've also been playing Final Fantasy X-2...it's a really great game even though people have said it's bad. It's also really girly...which I like ~.^

I'm also going to start taking private Japanese lessons at some place ^^ School's going start soon so I kind of have mixed feelings about it. I shouldn't have said that but I have been somewhat depressed as Summer Vacation has been continuing...I can't wait until I visit Katelyn because that will be the highlight of my entire life since I visited her last. I wish I had more to do but I don't....everything else is seeming so boring lately...Oh, and I have to get my tooth pulled tomorrow. <lj:music>Jet Grind Radio Future - I'm not a Model</lj:music>

I got back from Katelyn's house the other day ^^ It was so fun...I'll explain what we did!

Saturday - I arrived! We pretty much just hung and didn't do much. I think today was when Ryu came over. She's one of Katelyn's friends...

Sunday - I think it was Sunday when we went to Disney Quest...but may have been Monday. Disney Quest is this huge place with all sorts of games and simulators and such. It was fun. We also want to the Vigin Megastore and when I opened my Sprite it foamed on the floor and on my pants.

Monday - I think we just hung out today. It may have been the day we went to Disney Quest.

Tuesday - Katelyn went horse-back riding and I watched as well as took some pictures. When I was watching Gatsby (the horse Katelyn rode) eat, this woman who was behind me said "You look like you need something to do" Then she told me to bring this one horse into the stable and she also said I have "pretty and full lips, and that I should go into modeling" I figured she thought I was a girl (yay) then she asked me my name and I said Brandon. Then she kinda lauged to herself and said "Oh, I thought you...I said you had full lips" I pretended to not what she said so she wouldn't be embarresed more.

Wednesday - It was either Wednesday or Thursday when we went to Caroline's house. She's one of Katelyn's friends...Helen came over to. We basically just hung out. It was really fun though. Caroline's brother was scary though...he yells a lot.

Thursday - I think we just hung out today...we just did some stuff.

Friday - I believe it was today when we went to the movies and saw Harry Potter: The Prisoner of Azkaban. I thought it was a pretty good movie.

Saturday - Sadly, I had to leave...The bus was late so we had to wait at the station for an extra 30 mintes...and I was on the bus an extra 30 minutes too. Oh well, it's still faster than the train.

That's pretty much it...there may be more that I can't remember. Katelyn is on a cruise now, for a week. <lj:music>Soul Calibur - Leaving the World Behind</lj:music>

Future self,
In an attempt to predict how my summer will be, I have typed you this message to see how well your summer was. Hopefully you will remember to read this at the end of the summer and tell yourself how well you predicted my summer. As you may have guessed, you are randomly using 'I' and 'you'. Randomness is just something I tend to do.

Anyway, you weren't super happy when summer started. No, it wasn't because I would miss your friends...If anything, I felt a little depressed. You didn't do much over the summer and therefore it was boring. The first week of summer I went to visit Katelyn. That was the highlight of your summer, even though it was just the first week. Hopefully I got a job at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. That is a place where females normally shop, so you wouldn't expect many males to work there, but that's why you wanted a job there. The first day I visited Katelyn, you watched her horseback ride. I though it was wonderful. The second day, we went to Disney. It was fun. The other days, you would prefer not to mention because I do not know what happened yet.

The rest of summer, you really didn't do much. I visited some friends and saw some movies. You also kept active, because your parents wanted me to. You were afraid that this post to my future self would confuse those reading it by my sporadic use of 'you' and 'I', even though it's not really sporadic. You played Magic: Online a lot over the summer and bought a booster box of cards from Lost Realms. It's been a long time since I've gone there and my present self hasn't even gone their yet, but you will. I entered some tournaments at Lost Realms and towards the end of summer you actually entered a official tournament but didn't get very far in it. At least it was fun.

Statement of Thought:
Return often and take me, beloved sensation, return and take me-
when memory of the body awakens, and old desire again runs through the blood; When the lips and skin remember, and the hands feel as if they tough again.

-C.P.
I don't really have much to talk about so I doubt this entry will be very long...however, that's what I said last time and it was pretty long.

Well, I've been somewhat busy with school work this weekend and final exams are coming up soon. At least that means that school is almost over and it will be summer vacation. However, Summer Vacation is sometimes depressing. The main thing I'm looking forward to is visiting Katelyn which will be for about the first week of summer.
But after that...I won't have much to do. Hopefully I'll get a job but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find one. I don't want to work at Publix or some fast-food restaraunt. Maybe a regular restaraunt but...I dunno. If I can't find a job, and even if I do, I'll still be really bored. I don't even need money since I have nothing to buy...and it's not like I have a car or anything. Even if I had a car, I wouldn't have anywhere to drive to...I just basically want a job to have something to do.

I did go to Borders yesterday and got a Sketch Book and a really nice Diary. Actually, it says it's a journal...but diary is more girly. It's really cool, though. I can't really describe it...on the front it has some neat designs and a bow & arrow on the front. Then, when you open it, there is another cover with some designs on it and it says 'Desire' in really fancy lettering. Inside, it has lined paper that's tea stained with random quotes and pictures throughout the pages. Also, there is a lock on it ^^

Yesterday, I also saw Van Helsing. I thought it was okay...but some parts could have been better. I did really like Friar Carl, though. He was cute and funny. My favourite thing in it were the Vampire Babies. If you haven't seen the movie, don't worry, I'm not spoiling anything. When I'm done with my Psychology work, I'm going to see if any of my pirated-downloaded versions of Van Helsing actually work. If they do, I'm going to try to make a desktop wallpaper devoted to the Vampire Babies...they're so cute!

That's pretty much all I have to say...today's Statement of Thought will be the first quote that's in my real diary ^^

"The cry of my Body for completeness. That is a cry to you."
-Mary Carolyn Davies (early 20th century)

    <lj:music>Sakura Drops - Utada Hikaru</lj:music>

It seems that I've gotten into the routine of updated about once a week...I think that's a pretty stable schedule of updating.

Was the last time I updated right before I left for Katelyn's? I believe so...
I guess I'll talk about when I was there, first ^^

It was sooo fun! On Friday we hung out for a while and then went to Katelyn's highschool to see the play "You're a good man, Charlie Brown". I've never been a fan of Charlie Brown but the play was pretty funny. The directing was good and I liked how each character had a very distinct personality, physical features, way of talking, and walking! Hmm...that sounded unusually enthusiastic.
Then on Saturday we went to the SAK (still don't know what that stands for) Comedy Club and we watched these people do improv. I don't really want to go into detail of everything they did, because it would take a long time.

I got Pokemon Colosseum, it's surprisingly addicting. Also, on Ragnarok Online, you know how I said I was a GM on the test server? Well, they switched me to Main which I prefer. This probably doesn't matter to you, the reader, but I just wanted to mention it anyway ^^

This update hasn't been quite as long as I was hoping...hmm...How can I make it longer? I guess I could add some dots here....and some over here....Maybe if I keep on talking about how I wish it was longer and it really was not, then add in some un-needed words and, commas, around here, it may get a little longer...Hey! Look at that! I made it five lines longer! That's pretty good, I think so....

Statement of Thought

"Happiness is a Sad Song"

This statement was actually on a shirt. On the shirt of...Chibi! Chibi is one of Katelyn's friends. You know, it's a funny story, actually...While we were waiting in line to enter the SAK Comedy Club, there were these kids doing "tricks" on Skateboards. When they would "land" the "tricks" we would cheer and such..then boo when they fell ^^ Anyway, since there were only girls, I was hoping they thought I was a girl too...One of them actually was looking at me! Then they wanted us to come over...but most of us don't bend that way ~.^ Anyway, yeah...

*scrolls up* Ok, maybe that did wind up being long...well, I should stop typing now to not extend it any more...

...

Today is Katelyn, my girlfriend's, birthday!
I'm going to Oraldno tomorrow to visit her and stay for the weekend ^^ I got her two presents, once of them, which I was afraid wouldn't come in time, came today...so I'm happy ^^

Anyway, I've been playing Ragnarok Online. It's a really cool game. It's on a private server and is free and everything. aeromng.ath.cx is the website. You can download everything you need there (In the 'Required Patch' page) and just put it all in the same folder. The Forums explain anything else you have to do. I'm a GM (Game Master) on one of the servers...it's pretty much like a moderator but I can do anything I want =D
They also recently came out with an anime...it's pretty cool.

Today was a half-day in school so we got out at 11:40. I like pirates.

In Psychology we did this activity where we got this worksheet that had some words on it. The teacher told us all to make as many words by rearranging the letters in a specific word on the worksheet. That would was 'Scavengers'. We had 5 minutes to make as many as you can. Using the plural of a word also counts.
Over the 5 minutes, I managed to make 40 words which was the most in the class ^^ Only about 8 people got over 20.
After that, we worked in small groups doing the same thing to another word. This word was 'Dictionary'. Our group was able to make 36. Basically, the activity was to see if you are a 'Lone Learner' or a 'Team Player' depending on which you made the most words in. I'm a Lone Learner. I also got a Twizzler for making the most words ^^

I really can't wait to go to Katelyn's house. She's going to love her presents. One of the presents she got from her parents was Pokemon Collesseum. I've wanted to play that so it should be fun. I just wish I could find my Pokemon Sapphire.

Oh, and I got back into listening to They Might Be Giants. I got the new album Dial-a-Song...(Did I mention this in my last entry?)You should download their so- yes...I did mention this in my last entry, didn't I? I don't really care to check...but I'm pretty sure I said something along the lines of 'You should download them from Kazaa or whatever file sharing program you use, you hoolagin...

I can't really think of anything else to say except that I'm currently downloading episode 80 of Naruto. Download Naruto too.

Statement of Thought:

"The ear of corn is the only one who understands what I say."

I thought of that...I think it has some meaning somewhere in there....

Happy Easter!

*bites the head of his chocolate Jesus*

Well diggity dang doodle damn! Today was quite a day...and when I say day...I mean day!

We went to the Miami Zoo. It's supposedly the best zoo in the world but I didn't think it was TOO great. I took some pictures of things and animals. There was a children's petting zoo...but all they had was animals...no children =(
I got Cat-opoly. It's like Monopoly...just with Cats. Instead of Mons...

Oh, and on my SAT's I got a 1120. That's not quite as good as I hoped but it's still a pretty good score. The Florida average is 995 and the National average is 1070. I'm going to retake it and hope to get at least a 1200.

I've been pretty good. You know, same old same old same old same old same old. A friend of my fathers, Michael, stayed at our house for 3 days for some reason. I think he has OCD because he showers twice a day (once 3 times) and washes his hands ALOT. At night, I hear him go up stairs, wash his hands, go in his room, go in the bathroom and wash his hands, go downstairs, go upstairs into the room, then into the bathroom to wash his hands. Then, in the middle of the night he washed his hands a few times again. Now, I'm not 100% sure he's washing his hands...but I can tell when the sink is on. So...yeah...

I also got the new They Might Be Giants album yesterday. They have really great music. I suppose it's Alternative Rock but they cover nearly all generes. If you enjoy really odd, yet symbolic, meanings than you'll like these songs. If you're thinking of not listening to them...forget what you're thinking. Don't be lazy and click your Kazaa (or whatever file sharing client you may ilegally use. Ya Hoolagin) icon and type in They Might Be Giants. Download any song (Birdhouse in Your Soul is one of my favourites but I have a over-obsession with Green Olives)

Statement of Thought:

"I don't want the world, I just want your half."

That's actually a line from the song 'Ana Ng' by They Might Be Giants...

To tell you the truth, I kinda forgot about it o.O That's probably because I changed my home page...

Anyway, I'll say some things that have happened in my life...Oh, and happy End of Spring Break! Yep...there definatly isn't anything better than being back in school...Of course, besides Hell.

So! I didn't really do much over Spring Break... It's great, because they wait at least a month to allow the..deceasee's to finish mourning and calm down and to allow the deceased sould to "become comfortable without their body"....So now that everyone is finally over her death and not so sad...we get to visit her grave and get sad again! Whee!

I also began playing Ragnarok Online again. It's cooler than you. Seriously, it's a wonderful game. It's on a private server so it's better than the normal version and free and illegal...but we won't get into that ^^

Oh, and I went to the Orthodontist today because I have a impacted tooth (it's when a adult tooth doesn't grow in for some reason and your baby tooth doesn't fall out). It's not relly severe...unless you get cancer...which there is a small chance of happening. Anyway, the Orthodontist said in order to fix it, and have the adult tooth grow in, I would have to get top and bottom braces for at least 2 years and then a retainer for the rest of my life. ......

I'm most likely never going to do that (unless it starts to cause a major problem) because...I really don't want braces. I say, "Go for the cancer!"...but that's just me.
And incase you're wondering what exactly is blocking my adult tooth (my lower left canine) to grow in is some kind of anomalie...It's most likely and extra tooth! Yep! That's right! A third pair of my lower canine! It's a under-developed tooth...So, I'm like a freak. I feel special. That'd be great in a conversation if there is awkward silence.

"That murderer better be captured. I'd love to see him behind bars, that bastard"
"I know what you mean...I'm even afraid to walk my dog"
"Right, I can't even go outside to get the mail...."
"Yeah"
"Mhmm..."
"..."
"..."
"I have a third set of teeth"
"..."
"..."
"Cool."

Also, tomorrow night I'm going to the sleep clinic to find out why I haven't been sleeping well for the past six years. Man, a third tooth AND sleep problems...what are the chances of that?!

Oh! And we're watching Benny & Joon in Psychology. *rolls eyes* That Johnny...he's soooo dreamy!

If you haven't already, see Secret Window!!! *sighs* That Johnny....he's soooo dreamy!

Statement of Thought

"If a tree falls in the woods, and you were the only one there, did it make a sound?"

This statement actually has a meaning...

Well well well, the old fashioned 17th century
vampire, one of my faves. You look for the good
things in life, you posses a lot of classical
class, and follow that of the original
vampires, you have no shame in what you are,
infact you embrace it, you love it and wouldn't
have it any other way. Your wealth is
unspeakable and your way of luring people with
your mystical ways and looks is amazing, and
most people would often call you The
Seductress.

What Kind Of Vampire Would You Be? (Cool answers, AND FOR GILRS UNLESS YOU ARE A CROSSDRESSER)!
brought to you by Quizilla

You are Form 9, Vampire: The Undying.

"And The Vampire was all that remained on
the blood drowned creation. She attempted to
regrow life from the dead. But as she was
about to give the breath of life, she was
consumed in the flame of The Phoenix and the
cycle began again."

Some examples of the Vampire Form are Hades (Greek)
and Isis (Egyptian).
The Vampire is associated with the concept of
death, the number 9, and the element of fire.
Her sign is the eclipsed moon.

As a member of Form 9, you are a very realistic
individual. You may be a little idealistic,
but you are very grounded and down to earth.
You realize that not everything lasts, but you
savor every minute of the good times. While
you may sometimes find yourself lonely, you
have strong ties with people that will never be
broken. Vampires are the best friends to have
because they are sensible.

Which Mythological Form Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

You came from the future. You have wisdom beyond
your age and are always thinking ahead. A
favorite poem of yours is "Autumn" by
Emily Dickinson. You have strenth and
independence. Intelligence and creativity are
your strong points and you always try your
best. Your heart shines through hatred and
always discovers truth. Often you are found
looking ahead and wondering what put us on this
Earth. Your heart is in the right place, but
don't let your wisdom shine through fun. Your
worrying can often prevent you from finding
friends, but your nice and caring spirit makes
up for it. Wisdom is your soul.

Where did you come from when you were born?
brought to you by Quizilla
